The trail begins with a steep climb up Little Sugarloaf to the drop-in point. From there, the route is mostly descending or flat. Much of the trail crosses open fields, so windy conditions can increase the level of risk. The trail finishes on a farm access road, which connects both walking and biking trails to the main avenue.
