About the trail

Leaving the beach at Dromineer turn right (north), pay attention to other boat traffic. You pass the mouth of the Nenagh river, (depending on water levels you can travel 5km up this river to Hanley’s Woollen Mills and café), and then a reed and tree lined river bank, then follow the bay around to the opposite side of Dromineer. You pass a large house and lawns (1.3km) and a largely forested river bank before turning north along a long and exposed headland. You enter the bay where the small Luska pier is in the furthest corner. You may have to pass through the reed beds to see the pier.
