The section of this walk through Mote Park Forest takes you on forest road through a plantation of Norway spruce, Scot's pine and oak with a rich ground cover of grasses, moss, ivy, lichens, briar and ferns and abundant natural regeneration of beech, hazel and ash, which provide habitat for many species of wildlife including red squirrel and the elusive pine marten.
